Description

OATHS SWORN . . . loyalties tested . . . forces collide.

Following the colossal battle against the Empire’s warriors on the Burning Plains, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have narrowly escaped with their lives. Still there is more at hand for the Rider and his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by a tangle of promises he may not be able to keep.

First is Eragon’s oath to his cousin Roran: to help rescue Roran’s beloved, Katrina, from King Galbatorix’s clutches. But Eragon owes his loyalty to others, too. The Varden are in desperate need of his talents and strength—as are the elves and dwarves. When unrest claims the rebels and danger strikes from every corner, Eragon must make choices— choices that take him across the Empire and beyond, choices that may lead to unimagined sacrifice.

Eragon is the greatest hope to rid the land of tyranny. Can this once-simple farm boy unite the rebel forces and defeat the king?

Another wonderful book!!!

This series has been great! I just finished this book and can't wait for the next one. My son has started it and already can't put it down.

Christopher Paolini newest book a smash hit.

Christopher Paolini does it again in his newest book Brisingr. Staying true to his characters from past books Christopher takes you back into the wonderful world of dragoons and magic giving you great twists and unexpected turns. Making Brisingr one of the best new books of the year. I would highly recommend this series to all readers of all ages looking for a fun escape.

Roran just wants to farm!

I hope he get's his farm by the end of this, he deserves it.

I loved the book and the series. My parents have listened to the audio books since Eragon first came out so I thought I would give it a try. I have just finished reading all three books for the first time back to back and I knew it was not a trilogy. Paolini has terrific dialog between the characters and you really get attached to them. There is something interesting happening in every chapter. I have been completely hooked. I don't see any real differences between the three books so if you liked the first 2 you will most likely like the third. The fourth is going to be amazing!

Saphira was very funny in this book!
