Description

This advisory book and color poster (64 photos) gives exact and detailed information on about how to furnish the perfect beginner's tank. We provide the tips you need to avoid the typical mistakes made by most hobbyists who own their first ta nk. We show you what tank size to choose and the fishes and plants that should live in your first aquarium. Easy to read and understand. The fishes featured in this book are not just identified by their name but also code number. AQUALOG has developed an ingenious code number system which labels every known or newly discovered fish (incl. breeding forms etc.)with an individual code number. This number remains, despite any scientific renaming. Moreover, it enables you to communicate internationally about any fish without the danger of confusion regarding local names!

Customer reviews for 'Decorative Aquaria: The Beginner's Tank (AQUALOG Special)'

Aqualog Books are Unbeatable

All of the Aqualog books are excellent value, although they are not particularly cheap. They are full to the brim with first class colour photographs and to reproduce these in a book is an expensive process. Whether they are about the beautiful fishes now coming into the aquarist trade or in this case the correct way to set up a decorative tank, with the emphasis on beginners. They are first class. By the way, when I say beginner, once you become hooked on fish-keeping you will know that you never stop learning and there are always new ideas and also good old ones that may have got lost in the mists of time.

This is a change from the normal for the Aqualog books as they do not normally deal with the basics of fish keeping, but you know that if it has the Aqualog name the book is well worth having.

Aquaria of time the Internet

I have found in this book very interesting idea. About of coding of kinds of fishes by a numerical code. In my opinion it is very perspective. And it will help more easy to communicate to the fans of fishes of the different countries.
