A great debut from a talented, independent artist!
I was thrilled when Ellen finished her album and put it up for sale. I know for a fact how much this process has meant to her. Not just selling it, but writing music and lyrics, recording, producing and selling it herself. You can't be more independent than that. If nothing else, I give her five stars for effort, all the years of hard work that she put into this album. But not to forget the actual music itself, I love it! The lyrics are incredible, heartfelt and soulful, the guitar riffs speak for themselves. Ellen's sense of humor is expressed exquisitely in her album title, her song titles, and the songs themselves. Every song has a story behind it, and knowing Ellen, she is happy to tell you all about it. Email her, she would be happy to tell you the stories behind her heartfelt words, from "Where I've Been" to "The Man" to "Four More Days." The stories are as exceptional as the songs. All I have left to say is that I hope Ellen continues in her musical endeavours and I look forward to the completion of her next project.
