Great Buy
I had a Braun coffee/espresso mill for a number of years. I loved it because it enabled me to choose the size grind I needed, whether it was to grind beans for regular coffee or get a finer grind for espresso. When the motor of the mill finally gave out, I searched relentlessly for another one. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. This mill is superior to the cheaper coffee mills that only have a blade to chop up the coffee beans. You have no control over the size of the grinds with the "blade" type. I use my new Braun mill at least once a day. It is well worth the money and lasts for years.

This is the one!
We used the first version of this grinder for twenty-five years. We bought the current model after the orignal stopped working because we didn't want to be without our Braun. The new one works very well also. Have not experienced the clean-up problems that some describe. However, we grind the coffee, tap/remove the lid, and then use the scoop to remove the needed coffee while leaving the cup on the grinder. This is a very good grinder.

Typical Braun Reliability
I've had this Braun for several years.
I also own a little Krups blade-type grinder but ceased using it when I purchased this grinder. I prefer either stove-top dripolator coffee or percolated. This works best with a coarse grind, and that's almost impossible to get with the little blade grinders. Therefore, my little blade grinder got converted to a spice grinder.
The nicest feature on this grinder is its adjustability. It truly will produce anything from coarse to espresso grind, consistently. There is also a 60-second timer so that one doesn't have to stand there holding a switch. The hopper is large enough to grind at least one pot of coffee, depending on desired strength.
The drawback, as noted by other reviewers, is the static. That static, combined with its tendency to shed a little dust when the reservoir for ground coffee is removed, costs a 'star' in the rating. As another reviewer stated, I keep it on its own little plate.
I don't know where the new examples of this grinder are made; mine was made in Mexico. However, it has been extremely reliable and none of the parts has broken with heavy use.
If I needed to replace mine, I'd probably purchase another one just like it.
