Disappointed
The knives are sharp but the serrated edge does tear the meat. Too good to return but not what I expected from a "hand-honed" blade.

Quality Knives
These were given to us as a wedding present over 5 years ago. Ours get used at least weekly. We put them in the dishwasher and they wash up fine. Mine are still nice and sharp after 5 years of use too. At $100 they are a very good value for the price. I looked them up on here for a gift for my mother for their second home.

Henkels 8-piece steak knives with box
The saying goes: "You get what you pay for." I needed 8 steak knives yet did not wish to spend $200 or more for only six good quality knives. Therefore I compromised and purchased the J.A. Henckels Twin Gourmet 8-piece steak knives for less than $100 at Amazon. They are light knives, neat looking (slim) without heavy looking handles, so that you can add to everyday table setting. Serves the purpose. Wish they were a bit more substantial. Otherwise, okay for everyday usage.
