Deep-pocketed Belgian waffles cook in 90 seconds or less with this 1100-watt WafflePro from Chef's Choice. The waffle maker's unique Quad Baking System allows a choice of texture, color, aroma, and flavor for each individual waffle. No longer just a breakfast treat with maple syrup, waffles on the crisp side make a perfect dessert when paired with ice cream, while kids love moist brownie waffles for an after-school snack. Recipes are included in the user guide. A rocker switch lets you choose between a faster baked waffle with a crisp exterior, moist interior, and heady aroma, or one cooked more slowly with a uniform texture throughout. The color control dial offers individual preference ranging from light golden brown to dark brown. Each 6-1/2-inch round waffle is quartered, allowing it to be divided easily between hungry kids or served as wedge-shape `cookies.' The WafflePro also features nonstick plates and an overflow channel that wipe clean, a floating hinge to maintain even baking over varying thicknesses, and a beeper that sounds five times when cooking is done. Green and red baking lights make the whole procedure a snap. The cord wraps neatly underneath and the maker stands upright for compact storage. The waffle maker measures 8-1/2 by 9-1/2 by 3 inches and comes with a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

The best waffle maker ever - don't pay more, really, get this one
Bought this waffle maker after tons of research for a more traditional-style round waffle maker, and I have to say that it is by far one of the best purchases I've ever made. Though the Chef's Choice 830B is advertised as a Belgian waffle maker, in my opinion, the waffle it produces is far more of a "fatter", more traditional-style round waffle, so if you're specifically looking for a Belgian waffle maker, this one probably won't do it for you. That said, all the positive/rave reviews that you've read so far are totally right on the money. I looked at more expensive models, and was honestly skeptical that a waffle maker at this price could "compete" or produce a waffle comparable to ones double or triple it's price. Well, I am not easily impressed, and rarely write reviews for products that I've purchased, but this waffle maker is fantastic. Honest. It makes a BEAUTIFUL waffle in no time flat. They practically fly off the iron! I love my waffles and am rarely impressed, but this waffle maker did it! Bonus points: super easy to use and clean-up is practically non-existent. After several months using this waffle maker, I honestly wouldn't use any other or pay another dime for a more expensive waffle maker - truth is, you don't need to. Do yourself a favor: if you're looking for a great waffle maker, that makes perfectly crispy waffles on the outside; that are perfectly moist on the inside, at a very good price, stop stressing, stop reading this review, stop wondering whether you need to pay more for a more expensive model, and honestly, get this one. You will not regret it and your tummy (and loved ones) will thank you for years to come! Happy eating!

Not a Belgian Waffle
When I think of Belgian waffles, I thnk of very deep pockets like what is served in restaurants. This is not it -- it is nothing more than an ordinary waffle maker. For those of you who have kids, be careful because the lid is extremely hot as I almost burned myself thinking it would have a cool touch lid. The nice feature about this waffle maker is that it lets you know by beeping that the iron is ready to put in the mixture and also beeps when the waffle is done. This waffle iron overall was a disappointment to me and will be sending it back.
