Better than Brita
I purchased this to replace a Brita, and my family is very glad. The water from this filter is very good, and works very well on SF tap water. I think the taste from this filter is much better than with Brita, and for the price, you can't go wrong. We're all drinking a lot more water since purchasing this item, and that's a good thing.

Could be a 5 but...
I have owned several of these and have had mixed luck with them. Works great when it works but there are a couple of issues. The water inlet is plastic, located at the base and easily broken. The water diversion valve is cheap, did not contain proper adapters in my case and leaks easily. For the money I suppose it's okay but it would be a much better product with just a couple of small changes.

What a Piece of Crap
I don't think I've ever been so diguested with a product before but there is a first time for everything. It's a piece of crap that fell apart and is harder to even try to put together than it should be.
Buyer beware.
