All models feature U.V. bulbs positioned above the water to eliminate the need for quartz tube replacement or problems associated with frost damage or scaling. Not recommended for small spaces

This thing is huge. At least twice the size of the compact version it replaced. So if you don't have lots of space to place it around your pond, buy the 16w compact instead.
If you do have the space, though. It works very well. We've never had our pond water clear up that fast.

Gravity flow filter.

This filter will do just what it was designed to do. Filter the water,kill algae. The filters are completely removable for easy washing.
The only thing I found that I thought could have been improved upon was the entering and exiting ports. There is only one option,and both ports are on the front of the filter. This means it must be positioned only one way. I found this to be an inconvience. I wanted the entering water to be in the back or side.
