Where is the lid??
I have received 2 of these ice cream makers in the past 2 weeks now and BOTH are without the lid. I don't know what to do?? Should I continue to send them back and receive new ones until I get one with a lid?? Also.. the box is not the original. The instruction book is a photo copy and there are no recipes on it. I am wondering if they are refurbished??

Compact and easy to use
Any ice cream maker will not produce firm ice cream immediately; all of them need to be put in the freezer if you like firm ice cream. This unit does a good job of producing good texture after additional freezing; others I've used the texture after the additional time was too hard or full of crystals. Ensuring the ingredients are well-chilled helps.
The ice cream is good immediately after making too. I've made a couple recipes from The Best Ice Cream Maker Cookbook Ever and they both came out quite well. One of them had one cup of chopped pecans, and adding them right at the end worked out just fine.
The unit is easy to clean and put together.
