works well
This sandwich/waffle maker does exactly what it says it will do.
Once you get the amount of waffle mix you need to put in it, it will not over flow. I would go less and not more, until you get the feel.
I have made ham and cheese sandwiches also, and they turned out fine.
as other people have said there is no "done" light. It is plugged in and on, or unplugged and off. I use a timer and do the waffles 4 minutes, and the sandwiches at least one minute, I check the sandwiches, and if they are almost the toasted color I want I will pull the plug, and wait awhile and check.

A great waffle maker
I looked all over for a waffle iron I could afford and since the price was right, tried this one. First batch was not successful because I was confused on the lights. The mess I made on that batch cleaned up easily and I tried again, this time watching for the preheat light to diminish and the other light to brighten. I thought that perhaps the lights would indicate doneness but "peeked" after the recipe time and it was done. Next batch was easier, quicker and now after those tries I have no problem gauging preheat, timing etc., since I have a comfort level with it. The nice thing is if you do mess it up it is not a disaster and easily cleans and also stores well. Have not tried the grilled sandwiches but can't imagine that being any problem at all.

Nice product
Good product, makes nice sandwiches and super easy to clean. Would have loved if it is fast in heating up, takes more than 5 minutes to warm up and get going.
