Good Filter - Poor Shower Head
There is no doubt that the filter improves the shower - our skin is not nearly so dry and itchy. We recently let our filter stay in to long, and when we changed to a new filter, felt an immediate difference.
HOWEVER the wand portion split after less than a year and though they replaced it and gave good service, we had to pay $12 for shipping. ?! It was a chaotic time of life and I didn't have the time to argue.
Now the place where the shower head and hose meet have sprung several leaks. We just put our old shower head on and it works fine - but we are very disappointed.
Go for the filter - do your own shower head.

great price, great filter
I started out a bit of a skeptic, but decided to give this shower filter a try. I am very glad I did! Also, the shower head is great and has excellent pressure. My sensitive skin has been a problem for me (itchy back/winter dryness) but now, I'm thinking most of the problem has been the chlorine and other chemicals in my water. I've also noticed an improvement in my hair, and my shower doesn't get all those icky rusty looking stains anymore. Highly recommend this product.

Saved my skin
I don't know how water can feel smooth, but it does after installing this shower head. I fill up the tub with the shower head now, too. Takes forever, but it's worth it. No major change in water flow. I agree with another reviewer, the filter messes with where the shower head can go, but I tilt it and it seems to be ok. We have very hard well water (no chlorine but lots of other crap) and a water softener that bothered my skin. This fixed it almost immediately. Pricey but even my husband says it's worth it.
Our skin conditions before: dry, flakey, red, sore, tight, blotchy, overall irritated. After, not perfect but all of the issues are significantly improved.
