Integrate sprinkler or watering system control into your X10 home automation system with the Rain8, a full-featured, 8-zone irrigation controller that accepts and reacts to standard X10 commands. This opens up the world of sprinkler and irrigation system control to anyone with X10 timers, remote controls, even over-the-Internet control using PC-based automation software. Setup is easy. All you have to do is momentarily connect the Rain8 to your PC's serial port to assign the X10 address and program cycle durations for each sprinkler zone. Once the X10 address and zone cyle durations have been set, the Rain8 can be disconnected from the PC and will respond to X10 signals just like any other X10-connected device. Requires a power connector. The Rain8 does not have to be connected to a PC for everyday operation. Two distinct programs can be configured, each with its own address a handy feature if you have different winter and summer watering needs, or night and day watering. For the ultimate in flexibility, you can even assign a unique device code to each sprinkler zone, and water only the zones you want for as long as you want. The Rain8 is designed for installation in a water-protected location or in a weatherproof enclosure. The sprinkler wiring termination block easily separates from the main Rain8 controller, allowing you to easily modify Rain8 programming without tedious rewiring. Multiple Rain8 modules can be networked together, requiring only one AC transformer and PLC interface.
