Does not hold up
I have had mine for several years. The non-stick surfaces lasted for about 18 months. The unit does not hold the cooking heat well (as it did when it was new). When food is placed on the griddler after the griddler has come up to cooking temperature it loses its cooking heat and takes a long time to recover. As a result it no longer cooks the same.

Cuisinart Griddler
I am ashamed to admit it, but I love this product in the kitchen. I seldom use the stove any more as you can do just about anything with the griddler, and with less kitchen mess, except brew coffee. Great for lightning fast bacon, grilled meats, french toast, panini sandwiches, and other things I have yet to discover. Hate cleaning a messy stove and this can save a couple, or single person, lots of time in the kitchen.

great for panini but...
I bought this grill a year ago for my daughter and she has raved about it ever since. She makes panini at least once a week and told us we all had to have one. So I bought one for myself. I made panini a couple of times and it was fine, then I cooked a steak and again it was great. Those are the reasons it gets any stars at all. Next, at about use number 5, I cooked bacon. Bad idea! The thermostat is now shot. I've tried panini twice and both times it burned instantly. It seems stuck on highest high. I don't know what happened. I don't know if the drain is poorly designed so that bacon grease went inside but it is now useless and I have to see if I can get my money back.
