FANTASTIC AND EASY TO USE!!
The "Set it and forget it" ronco, is the greatest, easiest cooking tool I have every used, the two issues are #1 I add atleast 15 minutes more to timing instruction (ie, 15 minutes a pound @2 lbs would be 30 minutes) I add 15 minutes making it a total of 45 minutes!! also When taking the chicken, roast etc. out of the set it and forget it, #2 the gloves supplied are a neccesity, alittle scarry at first because the inside is so hot, but with using gets much more comfortable and you begin to trust the gloves without issue (scarry for fear of getting burnt, but with the supplied gloves it really is a non issue,)
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PRODUCT I HAVE BECOME AN AWESOME, FANTASTIC,WONDERFUL COOK OVERNIGHT!! YAHOOOOOO!! EASY,EASY,EASY TO USE AND EASY EASY EASY TO CLEAN!

Set it and be reminded of it every six seconds
As far as cooking goes this was an ok gadget. However, it drove me nuts because it was so noisy. It squeaked very loudly, no matter how heavy or light what I was cooking was. I could hear the squeaking throughout the entire house.

Real food
Have the Standard Showtime, and have used it for ten years. I have cooked the best turkey I ever made on it, and do chicken twice a week. First time I tasted an organic chicken from it, it was like food I ate when I was a kid. Could not get enough of it! Now I'm faced with having to replace it - get the same, or the compact? Kids have moved out. I feel lost without it. Oven roasted just is not the same. Have also used the basket for beef, and salmon. I have not used the top vege warmer except to put plants on when not cooking. Used the glove until it got a hole, and now use a silicone hot pad to take off the spit, with a fork's help. I have not had to salt the chicken or use any spices - have wondered if chicken gets salt in their food, or injected. I used to carefully handwash each part, but now just stick them in the diswasher. I looked at a toaster oven with a rotisserie, but they only do small chickens, not the 5 pounders. It is so good to get some real food!
