Great low cost burr grinder
I purchased this factory grinder from an on line clearing house at a good price for about the cost of a blade grinder. I have had it three months and it replaced a Hamilton Beach blade unit I had for some 30 plus years. I love the unit. Yes there is a very small amount of grinds that collect from static but if you want glass and no static, you should have purchased a more expensive unit. IF one taps the collector before taking off the lid, most the static grinds come loose and yes, one has to clean it out maybe once a week. This grinder does what I need, and at a very competitive price. I think some of the reviewers want a high end product for middle pricing.

Works PERFECTLY!
I am so glad I purchased this! It works just like it is new and came packaged as though it was fresh from production. I had bought a reconditioned toaster oven from Cuisinart, and it worked great too! I would trust this company to purchase other reconditioned goods as well.
The variation of grind is wonderful on this grinder, and the hopper is always free of any beans after I grind -- no stragglers deep inside to get stale and sour the next pot.
It looks great on the counter too. NOISE: It would wake the dead in the next state over, but all grinders are noisey so I don't mind :)

As noisy as a power saw with bad bearings...
This grinder does grind the beans reasonably well. And the presets for coarseness and quantity function OK...worth 2 stars.
But, the device is SO loud that you will either need to leave the room...or...you can do what I do & use the following ear protection:
Milwaukee 49-17-3300 Heavy Duty Folding Ear Muffs, NRR 28 db. The plastic hopper also does tend to build up a static charge, preventing some of the grounds from pouring out...a scoop can be used, though.
Also, I recommend ordering this separate from other items, because Amazon's packers frequently do not adequately isolate multiple items [I had ordered peanut butter that had broken open and leaked all over and got into my grinder...although I do not think the oil spill caused the loudness.
