The Induction Heating System Rice Cooker & Warmer uses a high-tech Induction Heating (IH) method to heat the inner cooking pan. Because of this heating method, rice cooks exceptionally well. This IH Rice Cooker also features easy-to-clean clear-coated stainless steel exterior, healthy cooking options such as brown rice, GABA BROWN and germinated brown rice settings, and an interchangeable melody and beep signal. GABA BROWN is a way of cooking brown rice to ?activate? it and increase naturally occurring gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an amino acid in brown rice believed to have health giving properties such as lowering blood pressure, improving kidney function and relieving stress. The brown rice is ?activated? by soaking the rice at 104°F for 2 hours before the actual cooking begins. Other features include automatic keep warm, extra large LCD display for Clock and Timer functions and detachable inner lid.

Amazing

This rice cooker is the one to get; it's pricier than the aluminum models, but it's made in Japan (not China), and everything inside and out is stainless steel. Everything about it is good, except possibly for the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star music it plays when it starts...you can change it but I haven't figured out how yet.

Makes The Best Brown Rice

Once you get the amount of water right, this cooker delivers perfect GABA Brown rice every time. Same with steel cut oat meal.

Great rice cooker

This is a great rice cooker. I've used it for rice, millet, quinoa, and oatmeal and it does a great job. It cooks grains perfectly and makes an excellent porridge. I would definitely recommend it!
