It's a CAN OPENER
I don't understand how some of the reviewers can review a product based on such trivial things, such as: "you have to stand in front of this can opener". It's a "can opener", we aren't "The Jetsons" so we don't mind standing in front of our opener while it BEAUTIFULLY OPENS THE CANS we place in it. For pete's sake rate a product based on it's job instead of it's conveniences. This can opener does a wonderful job opening cans.

Cautious shopper
I purchased this can opener for my mom (senior citizen) and she loves it. She said there are no sharp edges on the lids, the lids are rounded. It matches the decor of her kitchen. I plan on purchasing one for myself.

The BEST!
This is the best can opener I have ever had. So big deal, you have to hold it down to open for less then 10 seconds..well worth the end result. Opens smoothly and quietly with no quirks. You will love it, I promise.
