Does what it says it will do

I bought this for a trip to China and found it easy to use, convenient, small enough to carry everywhere and the peace of mind worth the price. It's so easy to activate and the ultraviolet light goes off when it's done. One can adjust it for up to 16 onces or up to 32 onces. According to the directions, it's also safe to use in every conceivable container material except quartz, which would only apple to scientific beakers...the quartz not stopping the U/V rays from traveling outside the glass or pitcher. As long as the liquid is relatively clear, it will easily work. While I don't do any wilderness hiking, this would be perfect for such travels and as the unit is about half the size sa the original Steri-Pen, it can go anywhere. I even used it for brushing my teeth, a possible source of ingesting bad things. How the unit works is it destroys the DNA of whatever is in the water, so it can't reproduce inside one's system and wreak havoc on one's intestines. Just for peace of mind alone, this is a worthy investment.
