Description
Once loved by the Etruscans and the ancient Romans, Bagni di Pisa became famous when the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Francesco Stefano of Lorena, made it his own summer spa residence, as well as a fashionable meeting place for the nobility of Europe in the mid-1700's. In this episode we meet Roberto Tommisoni who is the Managing Director of the Bagni di Pisa Hotel and Spa, and he takes us on a tour of this incredible, healing place! Watsu is the fine art of aquatic massage therapy that involves the movement of the body through the water, flowing breathing rhythms, and specific body work that relaxes the mind and spirit. Finally, we meet up with Ivano Buscintelli, who is the Maitre'd of the The Dei Lorena Restaurant at Bagni di Pisa. Ivano explains the joys of being in such a magical place, where everyone who works there shares his passion for their career. The restaurant has a wonderful, warm and charming appeal and has a view of the Square of the Miracles and the Leaning Tower of Pisa!
