This is the maximum Ultraviolet Protection Factor accorded to sun protection clothing by US Government rating agencies.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends: 1) Keeping babies out of direct sunlight as much as possible and well-covered with protective clothing when in the sun 2) Using hats with brims that shade the face and ears 3) Using a sunscreen made especially for infantren, with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 or higher
4) Consult your pediatrician about using sunscreen on babies under 6 months
