Pretty good item
I live in a "glass house" which means my biOrb gets lots of sunlight and, therefore, lots of algae! I used this in conjunction with cleaning the entire Orb out. I didn't realize it's not for "continuous use" though. I have had the same success with completely cleaning the tank and simply replacing the regular-type cartridge. The Orb is expensive enough to maintain -- why add to the cost?
