This Mojito Muddler ( 7.5 in) in Cherry by Chester P Basil is expertly handcrafted right here in Pennsylvania. Mark Hamm is a true American craftsman of woodenware. He named his company after a good friend, Chester, P for Perserverance and Basil after his favorite herb. He uses predominantly cherry and maple woods because they are hard and non-porous . . . perfect for woodenware. He favors the organic form and attempts to celebrate it within his work. There are just so many variations a curve can take as it leaves the straightness of a handle and flows into the functional end of a piece. Each piece is wonderful and unique. What a perfect way to support Made In The USA!
Care Instructions are simple. Use mineral or coconut oil when the wood appears to be dry. On occasion the surface may roughen from soaking in liquid. If you want to smooth it right away you can do so with fine sandpaper or a Scotch Brite pad. However, continued use will accomplish the same thing.
