Outstanding grinder
I've had this grinder about 6 months; it's my latest and, I think destined to be the last, to come of a 2 year hunt for a good grinder. It's more expensive than I would like. But, it has worked flawlessly. In comparison with other burr grinders (I've had a Krups and a cheaper Capresso) this one uses metal blades instead of plastic and produces a very clean, uniform grind. You don't get powdery residue, just a nice grain of what ever fineness you dial up. It has a wide range. The finest grind is super fine, a powder, and the coarsest is a large (but again, uniform) grain. The powder is great for expresso, the coarse grain is great for a press pot, and you can get a grind exactly your liking for filters. I've not had to clean it much (once, maybe twice, and I'm a twice a day or more grinder) and when I did it was straightforward, not too messy. The only trivial thing I'd complain about with this one is that the curvature of the coffee bean reservoir lid somehow creates an illusion that the top is off. This can lead to you pour coffee beans onto the closed lid (hence onto your kitchen counter). But, do that once or twice and you'll learn to look close. Otherwise an outstanding grinder.
