Fits on Artisian mixer, but blade sides do not touch bowl.
They are correct in saying that this beater will fit onto the Artisan version of the KitchenAid. However, the blades do not come anywhere near to touching the sides of the metal bowl (either the small or the large bowl) and thus do not scrape in the manner that I thought they would.
So I guess it depends on your version of the word "fit". It will mix, but no different than any other KitchenAid blade.

A Must-Have Accessory!!
If you use your KitchenAid mixer to any degree, you know how annoying it can be to have to stop the mixer, lift the head, and scrape down the bowl. Especially if you're doing a lot of mixing!
This beater blade scrapes the sides of the bowl perfectly. Better than you can with a spatula! It comes with directions on adjusting your mixer so it works properly, but mine didn't need any adjustments, worked properly right out of the box.
It's made of heavy duty clear plastic, and the scraper blades seem to be made of that silicone plastic stuff. My only concern is that the plastic body can't possibly last as long as metal -- maybe at some point the manufacturer will make the body out of stainless steel...
Overall, 5 stars and a must-have accessory. Go buy one now!
