Falling in love.
I've used it for 3 days now and am a complete fan. I wasted a day because I took the time to read the manual & it scares you by repeating on every page to NOT use foil. I already suffer from being a worry wart but decided this time to disregard the warnings & use my common sense. I would say...just don't cover the elements with foil. But who does that, anyway?
This oven is really wonderful. Tonight I used it to reheat the quiche I made last night (in the oven) & it reheated perfectly; unlike other times in other ovens, where it turns out to be a guessing game. An interior light would be perfect. That's the only down side for me.
As with other appliances I have purchased thru Amazon, the reviews are a great help & often enough, help make the sale. Thanks to all those who take the time to review.
I got this Breville Smart Oven for a Xmas present & am sold on it 100 percent. It IS a smart oven.
Five stars.

Extra accessories "impossible" to buy
I bought this from Williams Sonoma and found that the "extra" accessories that they show you that you "can" purchase are not actually available anywhere. Not on their website, not at Williams Sonoma, not anywhere. Other than that, it's a nice oven.

This Product Will Make You a Breville Fan
This is my first Breville product and I was bowled over by the quality, design, and effectiveness of this oven.
The first thing you'll notice is the sleek design. Using the large solid bar for the door handle gives it a modern look. The dials are large and easy to read and figure out how to use. The chrome is not overly shiny and doesn't have to be polished often to hide fingerprints.
Opening the door reveals the solid build of the appliance. The trays move in and out smoothly and lock into place well. The oven comes with all the trays you'll need to get started but I ordered a 13" pizza stone to go with it. We anticipate cooking pizza in this oven at least once a week.
It's always easier to just try out something new by ignoring the manual and pushing buttons and the Smart Oven is perfectly suited for this. In fact, I haven't even ready the manual yet. I put six pieces of homemade bread in the oven, turned a nob, pushed a button and cooked the bread for two minutes. I pulled them out, flipped them over, buttered them, and repeated the process, ending with a perfect toast.
Using the Smart Oven for Christmas cooking allowed us to both free up the wall unit for the turkey and to cook the twice-baked potatoes and pumpkin pie while the turkey was cooking. The potatoes came out flawless but the pie was what clinched the deal.
We got distracted after dinner and forgot the pie was cooking until four hours later. But the timer had shut off and I pulled a perfectly baked pie out of the Smart Oven and served it warm to the crowd.
I was so pleased with the quality and functionality of this appliance that I also ordered the Breville 1000-watt Die-Cast Hemisphere blender.
